II. Requirements

In order to run Bold Couple smoothly on your server, you need to fulfill requirements listed below:

  • Apache 2.2+ or Microsoft IIS7
  • PHP 5.4+ (PHP 5.5+ Recommended)
  • MySQL 5.1+
  • Joomla 3.7+

Please contact your web hosting service provider to make sure that your server complies with the requirements above.

You should check php upload_max_filesize and post_max_size. The recommended values should be 64Mb or higher. Some hosting limits this value by default, you may need to contact to find more information about this. You can change this via php.ini file or .htaccess file in the root of your website:

php_value post_max_size 64M

php_value upload_max_filesize 64M

These values will ensure that you won't get any error reporting that your upload and post memory limit is too low.

III. Download package:

After purchasing template, you can download the template package to install into your site, it's a ZIP file called bold_couple.zip

Installation Guide:

1. Bold Couple Template Installation

Step 1: Install latest Helix Ultimate Framework

+ Download Helix Ultimate Framework here

+ Log into the Administrator Panel

+ Go to Extensions in Extensions Manager > Install

+ Use Upload Package file mode and select the package: plg_helix.zip

+ Install plugin as typical Joomla extension + Click on Upload and Install button

+ Enable "System - Helix Ultimate Framework" in Extensions Manager > Plugin


Step 2: Install Bold Couple

+ Log into the Administrator Panel

+ Go to Extensions in Extensions Manager > Install

+ Use Upload Package file mode and select the package: bold_couple.zip

+ Install template package as typical Joomla extension + Click on Upload and Install button

Step 3: Set Bold Couple as default template style

Once done, navigate to Extensions > Templates > Administrator templates and set bold_couple template style as default one.

2. Extensions Installation

In order to make the template look exactly as the demo page, you need to install recommended extensions: EasySocial v2, EasyBlog v5, Payplan. Follow this documentation page for how to install each extension above.

PLEASE NOTE! These are 3rd party commercial extensions, in case that you don't have one of these extensions installed on your site, you have to purchase it from StackIdeas first.

3. Change Favicon

A small image with dimension of 16x16 pixel image in .ico format displays in web browser next to your website's URL. You may use one of graphic software and create your own favicon and simply place it in template directory of your website:

[ROOT]/templates/bold_couple (your_default_template)/favicon.ico

Layouts in template

Bold Couple template provides 2 built-in layouts: Home, Default

To have the same configuration and layout as our demo site, simply import JSON provided below for home and default layout.

+ Go to Extensions > Templates > bold_couple - Default

+ Select "Template Options" > Advanced > Select Import & Export

Paste JSON code below into input box and click "Import Setting" button
